Paula Faris
Paula Faris is an American journalist
from America. She was previously a television correspondent for ABC News. Her
most well-known work is her role as co-anchor on Good Morning America Weekend
from 2014 to 2018 as well as in her role as co-host on The View from 2015 to
2018. She was also co-anchor on America This Morning and World News Now. After
graduating, she worked in several communications-related jobs including an
operations position at Mills/James Productions in Columbus, Ohio. She was
employed in radio sales, due to the lack of television opportunities. She was
recruited to work as a WKEF/WRGT production assistant and then became a
reporter and anchor. She was the anchor for weekends at WCPO TV in Cincinnati
and the weekday anchor at WCPO TV in Cincinnati from 2002 until 2005. Her
contract was terminated , and she became a reporter and anchor for NBC
affiliate WMAQ-TV, Chicago, from November 2005 until December 2011. In December
2011, she was hired by ABC News which is the news division of ABC. She made her
debut for ABC News for their World News Now and America This Morning on January
2, 2012. She was a correspondent and substitute for Good Morning America during
this period. She was later elevated to become a New-York-based correspondent
for all ABC News programs. She was the host of America This Morning and World
News Now's last episode on January 22nd 2013. On August 9, 2014 she debuted as
co-anchor of Good Morning America Weekend, after the departure of Bianna
Golodryga, who moved to Yahoo! News. ABC announced that she will be joining The
View as a cohost for season 19. On August 3 in 2016 the show announced she was
renewed on her contract until the end of its 20th season. She was also
confirmed as a co-host for Season 21. She was most visible in the 22nd and 21st
seasons of the show.
