Markie Post
Markie Post grew up in Walnut Creek,
California and began her career in film and TV shows including Card Sharks
(1978) and "The New Card Sharks" (1986) and then went on to produce
such projects as Double Dare (1976) and has made appearances on such TV shows
like 1st to Die (2003), E! True Hollywood Story (1996) and Electra Woman and
Dyna Girl (2001). Her most memorable TV part was "Christine Sullivan"
in Night Court (1984). From 1984 to 1992 she was a part of 156 shows. Marylee
(Armstrong) Post is her daughter. She was a poet, and well-known nuclear
physicist Richard Freeman Post (November 14 1918 to April 7, 2015). Two
daughters, Katie Ross (born June 26, 1987) and Daisy Ross (born on March 30,
1990) was her second marriage to Michael A. Ross. She was born in Palo Alto in
California and raised in Walnut Creek. She was an athlete at Las Lomas High
School, Walnut Creek, California. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Lewis
& Clark College, Portland Oregon. She did some trick roping in The
Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). Her ashes were returned home to Michael
A. Ross, her husband. She was a lifelong Democrat. Markie Post, who was three
months away from her 71st birthday date on November 4 2021, passed away on the
7th of August. She died 27 days after Charles Robinson, her Night Court (1984)
co-star, who died on the 11th of July, 2021. Even though the shows were not
related, Night Court (1984) was a finale that saw Christine Sullivan's
character departing for Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992) started with Post as
Georgie Lahti. Post was a new character in Hearts Afire (1992), and later she
moved to a smaller community following her work in Washington DC.
