Ayelet Zurer
Ayelet Zurer is one of Israel's most
well-known actresses. She was born in Tel Aviv and was first recognized by
Hollywood when Steven Spielberg cast her in her first English-speaking film
role as Eric Bana’s wife in Munich (2005). Zurer is an American actress that
has appeared in Studio films, such as Sony Pictures' Vantage Point which
starred Dennis Quaid (with William Hurt), Samuel Goldwyn’s Fugitive pieces with
Stephen Dillane, Paul Schrader’s Adam Resurrected in the film with Jeff
Goldblum and Willem Dafoe. Ron Howard's Angeles and Demons, opposite Tom Hanks,
Darling Companion, a Lawrence Kasdan ensemble cast that includes Diane Keaton,
Kevin Kline and Warner Bros. Man Of Steel in the role of Russell Crow. The
actress filmed Rodrigo Garcia, Last days in the desert with Ewan McGregor while
awaiting the release of the movie The Last Knights by the Japanese director
Kazuaki Kiriya, who is also starring Clive Owen. Recently, she was honored with
the Gold Nymph Award as Outstanding actor in Drama Series at the 54th
International Festival of Television of Monte-Carlo. The award was given for
her part in "Hostages". Ayelet was awarded an Israeli Film And
Television Academy Award in recognition of her performance in Nina's Tragedies.
Ayelet also won nominations for her work in the features Only Dogs Run Free,
The Dybbuk from the Holy Apple Field, Desperado, and Rutenberg. Zurer was the
winner of the Haifa International Film Festival critic prize and received a
star on Haifa's "film boulevard" for her international and local
achievements. Zurer was also honored with the Israeli Television Academy Award
for her performance on "In Treatment" which is a renowned
international TV series, which was adapted for American TV by HBO. Zurer was
also nominated for appropriateness in 2014's best drama "Shtisel",
and she was named the most outstanding actress for drama for her role as a
brilliant surgeon who is facing the death-and-life dilemma in Hostages. The
show was licensed to BBC4 and Canal Plus and the American ABC. Golbary is among
Israel's top fashion brands for women. It is the "face" of Golbary.
She is a writer, producer as well as an illustrator. She was also the co-author
on "Shorts" the first adult novel written by Gabi Nitazn. Ayelet has
developed a few of her ideas in Israel and the US and has expressed desire to
work internationally with directors from all overthe world, including unknown
writers/directors.
