Robin Gayle
Robin Gayle Wright was born to Gayle
(Gaston) and Freddie Wright, the national Director of Mary Kay and Freddie
Wright. She was raised in San Diego. She started her professional career when
she was 14 as a model. She has worked both in Paris, Japan and Paris. She
decided to be an actress after she had graduated from high school. She was cast
on the soap opera Santa Barbara (1984), for which she was nominated three times
for a Daytime Emmy. Dane Witherspoon was her fellow cast member, and she was
married to her in 1986. In 1987, she played the role of the title character in
The Princess Bride. After she left the cast of Santa Barbara, she got the lead
role in Denial (1990) along with Jason Patric. It was during State of Grace
(1990) at the time she was introduced to Sean Penn. They had daughters Dylan
Frances and a son Hopper Jack. Robin returned to Hollywood following a break,
and landed one of her most famous roles: Tara in The Playboys (1992). She was
