Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel SOFER is an American
actress. Her performances include daytime television and episodic guest
performances and movies made for TV. Sofer was awarded a Daytime Emmy Award in
1995 for her role as Lois Cerullo on the soap drama General Hospital. Quinn
Fuller has been her role in the CBS soap drama The Bold and The Beautiful since
2013. Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan Sofer, a
psychology professor as well as Martin Sofer, a Conservative rabbi. The family
moved later to Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. Sofer then relocated along with her
father David Sofer, to Teaneck, New Jersey in 1970. But, by the time Sofer was
just five years old, they resided in Western Pennsylvania. They were brought up
in Ambridge, Pennsylvania by their father, Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She was
a student at the Frisch School, an coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish
highschool in Paramus (New Jersey). Sofer lived in North Bergen where her
father was the rabbi of synagogue Temple Beth El. After having graduated from
North Bergen High School in 1998, she continued her education at Montclair
State College. Sofer was the first to perform as Lois Marie Cerullo at General
Hospital. In 1993, she was managing a band. However, her first high-profile
part was that of Rocky McKenzie on the daytime soap opera Loving (1988-91).
Sofer is perhaps most well-known for her role as Lois Cerullo on General
Hospital (December 15 1993 to September 24 1996). In the following years, she
was guest-starring on the show (February 7-17, 1997 between September 30th and
October 2nd , 1997). The role she played as the sexy Lois was a huge hit and
earned Sofer an Emmy Award in 1995. Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for Outstanding
Supporting Actress in the Drama Series. Sofer has joined CBS's soap-opera The
Bold and the Beautiful as Quinn Fuller, a role she had just created. The
premiere episode premiered in July 2013. Sofer has been a guest as a cast
member or guest in a variety of prominent prime-time television shows,
including Seinfeld and Melrose Place. She has also been a guest in The
Chronicle, Ed and Friends. Her first episode aired on July 12.
