Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos (Canadian actress) is Tracy Spiridakos. She starred as Becky Richards on the Teletoon children's show Majority Rules! From 2009 to 2010 she was the lead character Becky Richards in the Teletoon children's comedy show Majority Rules! From 2009-2010, she starred in the role of Charlotte Matheson (Charlie) in the NBC series Revolution, a post-apocalyptic science-fiction show. The show was nominated for win a Saturn Award as Best Actress on TV. Annika Johnson played Annika on the A&E television series Bates Motel. Since 2017, Spiridakos has been a part of the NBC police drama Chicago P.D. in the role of Detective Hailey Upton. Spiridakos was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Greek-born parents, who were restaurant proprietors George and Anastasia Spiridakos She has two brothers. When she was born her family moved to Skala, Greece, south of Sparta. They returned to Canada in 1992. She is deeply connected to her Greek family and speaks fluent Greek. Spiridakos began acting when she was in junior high school and then was a student at the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. She was a graduate of Oak Park High School in Winnipeg in 2000. Spiridakos relocated to Vancouver in 2007 to pursue acting. She was offered her first television role within a matter of weeks, a minor role on Supernatural. The actress worked on television for a few more years and was offered parts on Psych, The L Word, Hellcats and Bionic Woman. Spiridakos was a part of the TV film Goblin and in the web series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. Spiridakos also appeared on Being Human as the werewolf Brynn McCLean. In 2009, she was cast in her first starring role in the role of Becky Richards, a 15-year-old girl, on Canadian Teletoon's Majority Rules! Her feature film debut in the year 2011 with Rise of the Planet of the Apes, and filmed the low-budget Michael Greenspan-helmed thriller, Kill for Me, starring across from Donal Logue and Katie Cassidy. Spiridakos was the character of Sammi in Rags (2012) which was a Nickelodeon original film. Then, she was offered a lead role in the NBC TV series Revolution as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson, a survivalist in an unimaginative future society. As she attended her first pilot season, she auditioned for this role. Spiridakos made the pilot film in Atlanta and then filmed the pilot in Wilmington, North Carolina. For her performance on the pilot she was nominated for the Saturn Award for Best Actress on TV. She was defeated by Anna Torv from Fringe's The Good Place. The series' second season was recorded in Austin, Texas.
