Magda Apanowicz

Magda Apanowicz (NOH-vitch; Polish: born on November 8, 1985) is a Canadian actress. She is best known for her role in the role of Andy Jensen on the ABC Family series Kyle XY, as Lacy Rand on the short-lived Syfy science fiction drama series Caprica and as Emily (born Maya Hartwell) in the science-fiction series Continuum. She was a part of the Netflix thriller series You as Sandy. Apanowicz is of Polish descent and spent an entire time in Poland in the ninth grade. She lived with her aunt in Poland, and went to Jelenia Gola school. She later attended Vancouver Film School. The brother of her introduced her to Pulp Fiction at the age 10 and she immediately became attracted to acting. In 2002 she began her first acting appearances in the TV series Jeremiah. She did a brief appearance on John Doe's TV series. From 2007 until 2009, she was the Kyle XY role of Andy Jensen. In 2008, she appeared as Andy Jensen on Every Second Counts on the Hallmark Channel. In 2009, Apanowicz was cast to as Lacy Rand in Caprica's telecast drama starring Eric Stoltz & Alessandra Turresani. Later, she appeared in Hellcats. In 2012, she appeared in the role of Emily in Jane Espenson's second series of her web series of romantic comedy Husbands. In 2013, Apanowicz also played the role as Samantha in The Green Inferno, an Eli Roth horror film. While it was shot in 2012, The Green Inferno was international released in 2015.In 2017, Apanowicz was cast as Angela in the science-fiction thriller film Volition. The film was released in 2020. In 2019, Apanowicz played the role of Sandy in the second season Netflix film You.
