Emily Swallow

American actress Emily Swallow was born December 18 1979. Her roles on The Mentalist as Kim Fischer and Supernatural as Amara/The Darkness are her most famous. The actress is also famous for her role as the Armorer on The Mandalorian, the Star Wars live-action series The Mandalorian. Emily was also in the video game The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born on 18 December, 1979, in Washington, D.C. Her family lived in Sterling, Virginia, as and Jacksonville, Florida. She began acting at Stanton College Preparatory School, Jacksonville as a student. In 2001, she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Virginia, and later pursued an MFA in Acting at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.Swallow began her career in Broadway theatre performing in numerous productions including High Fidelity, King Lear, The Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the Guthrie Theater, Much Ado About Nothing for Shakespeare in the Park, and the world premiere of off-Broadway productions Romantic Poetry and Measure for Pleasure.In 2008, Swallow made her film debut in the military drama The Lucky Ones. She was the star of the world premiere of Donald Margulies’ play The Country House at Los Angeles’ Geffen Playhouse. She also played opposite Mark Rylance in Louis JenkinsThe production of Nice Fish at Guthrie Theatre. In 2010 she was awarded the Falstaff Award as best female actor for her performance in The Taming of the Shrew. She also performed alongside Jac Huberman in Jac N Swallow's musical romantic Poetry at the Manhattan Theatre Club. The show is about the hilarious adventures of Swallow and Jac Huberman who face a myriad of problems in their lives that they face with various degrees of success.
