Alona Tal

Alona Tal, an Israeli-American actress and singer was born on Oct. 20, 1983 in Herzliya, Israel. She began her career after serving in the Israeli Defense Forces. Her acting debut was in an Israeli film in 2003. She also appeared in two Israeli television shows at the time. She also experimented with music and recorded several songs along with Subliminal, an Israeli rapper. Tal was able to move to New York with her sister. She collaborated with Wyclefjean, one of the Haitian artist who sang "Party to Damascus". She also managed to establish herself on American TV, starting with a regular role on the show Veronica Mars: She originally auditioned for the lead role however creator Rob Thomas wrote a new character specifically for her. Tal eventually got an established role on the CBS series. Before going to New York, Tal starred in two Israeli TV shows. Wyclef Jean was her singing partner. Hebrew is her first language. The second place award for the character as Veronica Mars (2004). She was originally auditioned and Rob Thomas' second choice. Thomas loved her so much that he designed the character of Meg Manning specifically for her. Was a part of The Israel Defense Forces. Both of her parents are Jews. Her father is Turkish/Jewish, and her mother is Polish/Jewish. Acts as Adrian Monk’s daughter in the last episode. Her father is Turkish/Jewish while her mother is Polish/Jewish.
