Bonnie Wright

Bonnie Francesca Wright was born 17 February 1991. She is an actress, model and director from England. The most well-known part of her career is that of Ginny Weasley who is the Harry Potter film series's main character. Born in London, Wright portrayed the role for 10 years, until she was named in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II (2011). Wright was seen in several independent films after the show. The films received moderately rated. She was the stage's first lead character in Peter Ustinov's The Moment of Truth at the Southwark Playhouse in 2013.Wright graduated from the University of the Arts London in 2012 with an undergraduate diploma in filmmaking. After graduating from the University of the Arts in London in 2012, she began creating short films through the production company BonBonLumiere. She directed her debut film which was a coming-of-age drama Separate We Come and Separate We Go (2012). It was released at Cannes Film Festival to great reviews. She also directed Know Thyself (2016) starring Christian Coulson and Sextant (2016). Both films explored emotions and landscapes as the main themes. Wright's three-part series, Phone Calls, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2017. She released Medusa's Ankles (2018) featuring Kerry Fox and Jason Isaacs, inspired by A. S. Byatt's The Matisse Stories. She has also directed music videos for Scarlett Johansson and Pete Yorn. Wright has been a spokesperson for Greenpeace and Lumos, and has been acknowledged for her environmental activism.
