Mila Kunis Bio

Mila Kunis was born Milena Kunis in the Ukrainian city of Chernivtsi on the 14th of August 1983. When she was seven years old, Kunis immigrated to the United States with her parents, Mark and Elvira, as well as her older brother, Michael, and eventually settled in Los Angeles. It was a hard start for the Kunis families, who came to their new home having just $250. However, Kunis parents, who each gave up their professional lives to uproot themselves, were determined to make a better life for their children. Mark, a former mechanical engineer found work quickly as a driver for taxis. Elvira, who was an instructor of physics in Ukraine ended up managing the pharmacy. "I did not know the American culture," Kunis has said about first arriving in the United States. "I did not understand the American people. I didn't understand their language. The first sentence in my essay for college admission was "Imagine being blind and deaf at the age of 7". It was a very similar experience to the feeling of moving to the States. However, I came through it pretty fast." Milena Markovna Kunis is daughter of Mark Kunis (Ukraine) and Elvira (Chenivtsi), Ukraine. Her birth date was on the 14th of August, 1983. Her older brother is also hers. Her mother is a teacher of physics. She also runs a pharmacy. Her father, who is a mechanical engineer by trade, doubles as a driver for cabs. She is Jewish and her family relocated to Los Angeles at the age of seven. Rosewood Elementary school was her first option. When she was nine years old she started acting lessons. After being a part of commercials and being given her first television role in the show 'Daily Days of Our Lives', 1994. In 1998, she was cast as Jackie Burkhart in the hit sitcom "That  1970s Show". She received praise for her performance, and was then asked to lend her voice for the role on 'Family Guy' in the role of Meg Griffin.
