Kristin Landen Davis Bio

Kristin Landen is an Emmy Award nominated American actor and Kristin Davis was born in Boulder, CO. She is most well-known for her character Charlotte York Goldenblatt on HBO's Sex and the City. Boulder, Colorado was where Davis was born and where she was educated. Her parents divorced when she was when she was a young girl and she became the sole child. When her mother Dorothy was a data analyst, got married to Keith Davis, University of South Carolina psychologist Keith Davis, a psychologist at the University of South Carolina, took her in as an adoptive child. In her first marriage, she was blessed with three step-sisters. Her family relocated to Columbia, South Carolina in the early years of her life. Her father, who was adopted, was the provost at Columbia and was a professor at the University of South Carolina. Davis has always wanted to be an actor since the age of 10, when she appeared in the community theatre production Snow White and the Seven. She as well as Alec Baldwin guest-starred in Will & Grace (1998) as well as Friends (1994) however, not in the same episode. Davis was invited to Sarah Jessica Parker's 40th birthday celebration. She was a candidate for Sarah Tobias' role in The Accused (1988). Jonathan Kaplan turned her down and Jodie Foster was offered the part. Two children adopted, Gemma Rose Davis and Wilson Davis. Ambassador for Oxfam an organization that fights poverty. In the course of her Oxfam Ambassadorship she traveled to the Dadaab refugee camps in Kenya in July of 2011. Kristin is the sole actor who has not been married.
