Jennifer Carpenter Bio

American actress Jennifer Leann Carpenter was conceived December 7, 1979. Her most famous work is her roles as Debra Morgan and Rebecca Harris in Showtime's Dexter. In the year 2019, she started as Erica Shepherd (the lead role in the NBC drama The Enemy Within). Carpenter was initially recognized for her role in the role of Emily Rose in The Exorcism of Emily Rose. Carpenter was awarded the 2006 MTV Movie Award in "Best Frightened Actress" and was also awarded an Hollywood Life Breakthrough Award. The actress was named "Breakout Performer" at the 2006 Scream Awards. In 2007, she began dating her Dexter co-star Michael C. Hall. They got married in 2008, after which they relocated to California. Hall and Carpenter made a joint statement in December 2010 announcing their separation. They remain close to each other. Carpenter and Seth Avett, musician, were announced to be married and expecting their first child on February 10, 2015. Carpenter was 8-and-a half months pregnant at the time she appeared on Limitless' pilot episode. Carpenter and Avett got married in May of 2016.
