Lori Loughlin Bio

Lori Loughlin is an American actress, who was born in New York City on July 28 1964. Before she became an actress she was an elementary lifeguard. At 12 years old, she began her modeling career in print. She was a TV and print model throughout her teens. At 15 she was in The Edge of Night (1956) as a dancer who was aspiring Jody Travis. She would later appear from 1980-1983. Her most well-known character is Rebecca Donalson-Katsopolis (1987) in which she starred in from 1988-1995. She played Ava Gregory on Summerland (2004) the show she co-created & produced. She also appeared alongside Don Johnson and Kay Panabaker as Gelsey Alexander moondance Alexander (2007). Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli were among dozens of individuals arrested by the FBI on March 12, 2019. This is in relation to a major college admissions fraud scheme. In particular, the indictment stated that the couple had paid $500,000and disguised as a contribution to the Key Worldwide Foundation, so that the University of Southern Calif.'s admissions committee would be led to believe that their two daughters would be on the school's women's rowing team should they be admitted, when in fact neither young woman has ever had any training in the sport, and neither had any plans to do so. Loughlin was detained on March 13th , by federal authorities in Los Angeles. She is accused of being involved in an elaborate college bribery scheme worth millions of dollars. In her appearance in Los Angeles Federal Court, Loughlin was granted bail of one million dollars. Loughlin and her husband also gave their passports in their April 3, 2019 appearance in Boston Federal Court. They also waived the right to an initial hearing. In May of 2020, Loughlin and Giannulli pleaded guilty. They will be sentenced in August 2020, at which the judge can decide on the combination of prison time, fines, and community service. Loughlin was not allowed to appear on Fuller House for a second time following her arrest.
